KOHLER — Thanks to talk radio, 24-hour sports television networks and newspapers, there are plenty of opportunities to criticize and scrutinize the Green Bay Packers. Today, we come to give them a break from defensive breakdowns and zone-blocking schemes. We know about the team's 0-2 start. Oh yeah, it's there. Nobody pretends it isn't. It hovers over the players like the Goodyear blimp used to during Monday Night Football games. But this is Tuesday; a day off for the Packers, and a number of them chose to spend it at Blackwolf Run golfing with players who paid big money to tee it up with them for a few charities. So let's cut the players who showed up some slack and forget about the maladies for one day. Instead, let's talk about … Rayner's task New kicker Dave Rayner is taking on two tasks — replacing Ryan Longwell on the field and as the team's top golfer. "I've got big shoes to fill on both ends," he said. Rayner and his team tried multiple times to drain a putt on No. 18 and failed to do so. That's OK on the golf course, but Rayner knows you rarely get more than one chance to hit a field goal in a game. The strong-legged kicker is confident he's found a home in Green Bay, and even encouraged fantasy owners to claim him on waivers. "The hope for a kicker is for the team to get him into field goal range, and I'll make most of them," he said. "I think people can pick me up."
